If your veterinarian advises you to take your cat for an exam after consuming garlic, chances are she may be trying to use a hydrogen peroxide solution to make your cat vomit. This is to clear the garlic from your cat’s digestive system. The vet may also recommend using activated charcoal.
In more severe cases of garlic poisoning, a veterinarian may suggest a stomach pump or even a blood transfusion.
